Do you find yourself constantly sleeping?
Do you easily get tired and constantly feel the
need to have a nap?
Has the spirit of poverty taken residence?
32I learned this lesson: 33A
little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands
to rest— 34then poverty will pounce on you like
a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.
(Proverbs 24:32-34 NLT)
33You sleep a little; you take a nap. You fold your hands and rest. 34Soon
you will be poor, as if you had been robbed. You will have as little as
if you had been held up. (ICB).
So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing?
How long before you get out of bed? A nap here, a nap there, a day off
here, a day off there, sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes
next? Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life, poverty
your permanent houseguest! (Proverbs 6: 6-11 The Message Bible).
Lazy people sleep soundly, but idleness leaves them
hungry. (Proverbs 19:15 NLT).
Go ahead—be lazy and passive. But you’ll go hungry if
you live that way. (Proverbs 19:15 The Passion Translation).
If you love sleep, you will end in poverty. Keep your
eyes open, and there will be plenty to eat! (Proverbs 20:13 NLT). If you spend all your time sleeping, you’ll grow poor.
So wake up, sleepyhead! Don’t
sleep on the job. And then there will be plenty of food on your table.
(Proverbs 20:13 TPT).
Are you sleeping into poverty instead of
sowing into riches?
Don’t dream yourself to poverty!
Wake up sleepyhead!
Shalom.
