Many people will not move to their destiny
until they have been pushed. Are you being
pushed? Every successful person was pushed.
Circumstances and the challenges of life pushed them. Moses looked at his circumstances and prior
sins and felt that he was not the right person to be used by God to deliver his
people. God tells Moses: 10 Now go, for
I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt.” 11 But
Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead
the people of Israel out of Egypt?” (Exodus 3:10-11). But God knew it
was time for him to fulfil his destiny and so he was pushed.
Naomi pushed Ruth into her destiny: 3 Now do
as I tell you—take a bath and put on perfume and dress in your nicest clothes.
Then go to the threshing floor, but don’t let Boaz see you until he has
finished eating and drinking. 4 Be
sure to notice where he lies down; then go and uncover his feet and lie down
there. He will tell you what to do.” (Ruth 3:3-4 NLT). The plan works and Naomi
marries Boaz and they have a son, who they name Obed. He became the
father of Jesse and the grandfather of David. May you find someone to push you
this season.
Mordecai pushed Esther into
history. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as
this?” (Esther 4:14 NLT). Esther rescued her people from complete annihilation.
Mary pushed Jesus into his
ministry. 3 The wine supply ran out during the
festivities, so Jesus’ mother told him, “They have no more wine.” 4 “Dear woman, that’s not our problem,” Jesus replied. “My time has not yet come.” 5 But his mother told the servants, “Do
whatever he tells you.” (John 2:3-5 NLT). Jesus completed his first miracle -
turned water into wine.
You can
be pushed to another location that appears worse than your present location.
God told Elijah to leave the brook where he was being fed by ravens and head to
the widow of Zarephath. Have you been pushed to work in a different location
that does not look promising? God’s promises and blessings are directly connected
to your assigned location. You have to align yourself with God’s location. Is
God telling you to live and work in City B but you want to live and work in
City A. But boring unattractive City B is where God is looking to bless you. City
B is where you’ll find your destiny helpers and become blessed beyond your
wildest expectation.
At
times, you are pushed by adverse circumstances into your promotion. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego refused
to worship the golden image and were thrown into a furnace of blazing fire. The
Lord sent an angel to rescue them and they came out unscathed. When the king realised that they had been
rescued by God he promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to higher positions. They
were pushed into promotion and wealth. (Daniel 3:18-30).
Every
push has four C’s:
1. Challenge
2. Choice
3. Chance
4. Change
There
is normally a challenge and you’ll have a choice to make- you’ll then have to
take the chance i.e. walk in faith and the change will arrive. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego had a challenge, they made a decision- the
choice of following and worshipping the only true God, they took a chance that
they may not be rescued if thrown into the fiery furnace. They came out unscathed
and were promoted by the king- a positive and richer change.
There is someone reading
this right now that will be pushed this season.
But
when you are pushed- are you going to listen to the voice of God or someone
else?
You hear the voice of God from the word of
God: This Book of the Law shall not depart from
your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you
may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it;
for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will
be successful. (Joshua 1:8 AMP).
God will send you destiny
helpers- people that will push you into your destiny, promotion, calling and blessings. My prayer is that you recognise your destiny helpers and make the
right decision to overcome your challenge and pushed in the direction God wants
you to go.
Shalom.
