The beginning of a fruitful season

11But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever.
Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.

12For you bless the godly, O Lord; you surround them with your shield of love. (Psalm 5:11-12 NLT). This week will be the beginning of a fruitful season in your life. You will experience the goodness, mercy and the favour of the Lord in all areas of your life. Because you put your trust in God, you will always rejoice and be joyful in the Lord. Favour will surround you like a shield. You will receive a triple portion of God’s daily blessings and provisions. May the Lord connect you to your destiny helpers and move you to the next level. I pray for God’s peace, guidance, good health, divine protection, preservation, prosperity and joy in Jesus mighty name.
Shalom!

I waited and waited and waited

1I waited and waited and waited some more, patiently, knowing God would come through for me. Then, at last, he bent down and listened to my cry.
2He stooped down to lift me out of danger from the desolate pit I was in, out of the muddy mess I had fallen into.
Now he’s lifted me up into a firm, secure place and steadied me while I walk along his ascending path. 3A new song for a new day rises up in me every time I think about how he breaks through for me! Ecstatic praise pours out of my mouth until everyone hears how God has set me free. Many will see his miracles; they’ll stand in awe of God and fall in love with him! 4Blessing after blessing comes to those who love and trust the Lord.
(Psalm 40:1-4 The Passion Translation).

What is your assignment?

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV).
You were born because God has something for you to do.
Your assignment is always to a person or a people. Aaron’s assignment was to assist Moses. Moses assignment was to deliver the people of Israel.

Your assignment is any problem you were created to solve on earth. God uses problems to promote you. Problems are doors to rewards. Wealth, riches are disguised in problems. What you love is a clue to the gifts and wisdom you contain to complete your assignment. What subjects interest and inspire you?

What you hate passionately is a clue to something you are assigned to correct. You cannot conquer something you don’t hate. Put your anger to creative use and find a solution for something you hate. Anger is the birthplace for creativity. You’ve got to hate the present to create the future. What do you want to change? What grieves you is a clue to something you are assigned to heal. What’s got your heart?

Your assignment will require seasons of preparation. The greater your assignment, the longer your training. The greater the assignment, the more stressful the training. We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously. (1 Corinthians 10:13 The Passion Translation).
God wants to train you to keep the blessing so that you don’t lose it when He gives it to you. (Source: Mike Murdock)
You were not born to just pay bills and die!
We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. (John 9:4 NLT).
What is your assignment?
Shalom.

My ONE thing

Since Monday, I’ve been thinking about my ONE thing.
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. (Joshua 1:8 NLT).
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8 NKJV).
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful. (Joshua 1:8 AMP).

I’ve got my ONE thing

Since Monday, I’ve been thinking about my ONE thing.
6But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him. 7By faith [with confidence in God and His word] Noah, being warned by God about events not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his family. By this [act of obedience] he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which comes by faith. (Hebrew 11: 6-7 AMP).
6But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
7By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. (Hebrew 11: 6-7 NKJV).

6And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking him.
7Faith opened Noah’s heart to receive revelation and warnings from God about what was coming, even things that had never been seen. But he stepped out in reverent obedience to God and built an ark that would save him and his family. By his faith the world was condemned, but Noah received God’s gift of righteousness that comes by believing. (Hebrew 11: 6-7 The Passion Translation).

I am made right with God through faith.
I have complete belief, trust and confidence in God.
Shalom.

Have you discovered it?

You were born because God has something for you to do.
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV).
God planned for us to do good things and to live as he has always wanted us to live. (Ephesians 2:10 CEV). Other translations states: We are God’s masterpiece, we are God’s handiwork.
You are not an accident: what is your purpose?
You were born for a reason.
You were born because God has something for you to do.
Get close to God and He will get closer to you. There’s a private place reserved for the lovers of God, where they sit near him and receive the revelation-secrets of his promises. (Psalm 25:14 The Passion Translation).
You were born because God has something for you to do: have you discovered it?

How to be safe and secure

1When you sit enthroned under the shadow of Shaddai, you are hidden in the strength of God Most High.
2He’s the hope that holds me and the Stronghold to shelter me, the only God for me, and my great confidence.
3He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy, and he will protect you from false accusation and any deadly curse.

4His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.
5You will never worry about an attack of demonic forces at night nor have to fear a spirit of darkness coming against you.
6Don’t fear a thing! Whether by night or by day, demonic danger will not trouble you, nor will the powers of evil launched against you.
7Even in a time of disaster, with thousands and thousands being killed, you will remain unscathed and unharmed.
8you will be a spectator as the wicked perish in judgement, for they will be paid back for what they have done!
9–10When we live our lives within the shadow of God Most High, our secret hiding place, we will always be shielded from harm. How then could evil prevail against us or disease infect us?
11God sends angels with special orders to protect you wherever you go, defending you from all harm.
12If you walk into a trap, they’ll be there for you and keep you from stumbling.
13You’ll even walk unharmed among the fiercest powers of darkness, trampling every one of them beneath your feet!
14For here is what the Lord has spoken to me: “Because you have delighted in me as my great lover, I will greatly protect you. I will set you in a high place, safe and secure before my face.
15I will answer your cry for help every time you pray, and you will find and feel my presence
even in your time of pressure and trouble. I will be your glorious hero and give you a feast.
16You will be satisfied with a full life and with all that I do for you. For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!” (Psalm 91 The Passion Translation).

When you sit enthroned under the shadow of God, when you permanently live, when you reside, when you dwell in the presence of God there is protection. When you have a full time relationship with God, you are protected.
Shalom.

My ONE thing

As I start my week, my ONE thing is that:
“The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6 NKJV).
"The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?" (ISV)
"The Lord helps me! Why should I be afraid of what people can do to me?" (CEV)
“I know the Lord is for me and I will never be afraid of what people may do to me!” (TPT)
The Lord is my Helper [in time of need], I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?” (AMP).
Shalom.

You have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV).
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16 NKJV).
So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:15 NLT).
In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. (Ephesians 3:12 NKJV).
So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6 NKJV).
No fear exists where his love is. Rather, perfect love gets rid of fear, because fear involves punishment. The person who lives in fear doesn't have perfect love. (1 John 4:18 God’s Word Translation).
As a child of God- you must not live in fear. Faith and fear cannot exist together.
Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him.(Hebrews 11:6 HCSB).
If you have complete trust and confidence in God- then you shouldn’t be living in fear.
Shalom.

The ONE thing

What is the ONE thing that you’ve learnt from this pandemic?
Life is a journey with numerous turning points - at this particular junction what is the ONE thing you’ve learnt?

You can have all the money in the world but without good health- it’s meaningless?
You made concrete plans for 2020 but now you simply don’t know. You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail. (Proverbs 19:21 NLT).
Was God trying to speak to you pre lockdown but you were too busy doing life and you couldn’t hear His voice? Maybe the lockdown was an opportunity to put your house in order. Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life. (James 4:8 TPT).

Is it business as usual for you post lockdown? Phew, I’ll carry on as I was before.
Please ask yourself- what is the ONE thing you’ve learnt during this global pandemic?

What is the ONE thing you’re going to do post lockdown?
What is the ONE thing you can do to ensure your life going forward is permanently and spiritually connected to the throne room of grace?

9.Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. 10.Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish. (Isaiah 46:9-10 NLT).

What is the ONE thing you can do right now to have a deeper impactful relationship with God?

Loving God includes loving people

20-21 If anyone boasts, “I love God,” and goes right on hating his brother or sister, thinking nothing of it, he is a liar. If he won’t love the person he can see, how can he love the God he can’t see? The command we have from Christ is blunt: Loving God includes loving people. You’ve got to love both. (1 John 4:20-21 The Message Bible)
Love your neighbour as yourself.

Wake up sleepyhead!

Do you find yourself constantly sleeping?
Do you easily get tired and constantly feel the need to have a nap?
Has the spirit of poverty taken residence?
32I learned this lesson: 33A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— 34then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber. (Proverbs 24:32-34 NLT)
33You sleep a little; you take a nap. You fold your hands and rest. 34Soon you will be poor, as if you had been robbed. You will have as little as if you had been held up. (ICB).

So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing? How long before you get out of bed? A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there, sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next? Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life, poverty your permanent houseguest! (Proverbs 6: 6-11 The Message Bible).
Lazy people sleep soundly, but idleness leaves them hungry. (Proverbs 19:15 NLT).
Go ahead—be lazy and passive. But you’ll go hungry if you live that way. (Proverbs 19:15 The Passion Translation).

If you love sleep, you will end in poverty. Keep your eyes open, and there will be plenty to eat! (Proverbs 20:13 NLT). If you spend all your time sleeping, you’ll grow poor. So wake up, sleepyhead! Don’t sleep on the job. And then there will be plenty of food on your table. (Proverbs 20:13 TPT).
Are you sleeping into poverty instead of sowing into riches?
Don’t dream yourself to poverty!
Wake up sleepyhead!
Shalom.

Get down to go up

7-10So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet. (James 4:7-10 The Message Bible).

Do you have a heart of love?

1If I were to speak with eloquence in earth’s many languages, and in the heavenly tongues of angels, yet I didn’t express myself with love, my words would be reduced to the hollow sound of nothing more than a clanging cymbal.
2And if I were to have the gift of prophecy with a profound understanding of God’s hidden secrets, and if I possessed unending supernatural knowledge, and if I had the greatest gift of faith that could move mountains, but have never learned to love, then I am nothing.
3And if I were to be so generous as to give away everything I owned to feed the poor, and to offer my body to be burned as a martyr, without the pure motive of love, I would gain nothing of value.
4Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance.
5Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honour. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense.
6Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong.
7Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up. 8Love never stops loving. (1 Corinthians 13:1-8 The Passion Translation).
But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:8 NLT).
Do you have a heart of love?
Check your heart - is it pumping love?

If your dreams don’t scare you – then they are not big enough

8“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. 9For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9 NLT).

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. (Proverbs 23:7 KJV). Like your father, do you have big dreams, plans and aspirations? Are you a big thinker? Are you thinking of buying a house for yourself as opposed to buying houses for every member of your family?
Look at the splendour of your skies, your creative genius glowing in the heavens. When I gaze at your moon and your stars, mounted like jewels in their settings, I know you are the fascinating artist who fashioned it all! (Psalms 8:3 The Passion Translation). Our Father is a creator - do you have the creative mind to solve problems?

But the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits. (Daniel 11:32 NKJV). For with God nothing will be impossible. (Luke 1:37 NKJV). You have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]. (1 Corinthians 2:16 AMP).
Stop thinking small - think big!
Have big dreams and aspirations.
If your dreams don’t scare you – then they are not big enough.

The pin code to access your inheritance

The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning. (Psalms 25:14 AMPC).
There’s a private place reserved for the lovers of God, where they sit near him and receive
the revelation-secrets of his promises. (The Passion Translation).
The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant. (NKJV).
The secret counsel of the LORD is for those who fear Him, and He reveals His covenant to them. (Holman Christian Standard Bible).
The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. (NIV).
By fear we mean reverential awe and respect of God’s mighty power and glory. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. (Proverbs 9:10 NIV). This is the secret to accessing the blessings of God. The Lord desires for you to have an intimate relationship with Him.
Do you share every intimate detail of your life with God?
The Lord stated that Abraham was His friend.
Is God your number one friend?
Is God your best best best friend or just a casual acquaintance?
When you make Him your best best best friend, He begins to confide in you, He gives you secrets on how to become fruitful.
The reverential fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and revelation of secrets- the pin code to access your inheritance.
My brother! My sister- it’s down to you!

Love your neighbour as yourself

26“What do the Scriptures say? How do you interpret them?” 27The man answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind’; and ‘Love your neighbour as you love yourself.’” 28“You are right,” Jesus replied; “do this and you will live.” 29But the teacher of the Law wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “Who is my neighbour?”
30Jesus answered, “There was once a man who was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho when robbers attacked him, stripped him, and beat him up, leaving him half dead. 31It so happened that a priest was going down that road; but when he saw the man, he walked on by on the other side. 32In the same way a Levite also came there, went over and looked at the man, and then walked on by on the other side.
33But a Samaritan who was traveling that way came upon the man, and when he saw him, his heart was filled with pity. 34He went over to him, poured oil and wine on his wounds and bandaged them; then he put the man on his own animal and took him to an inn, where he took care of him. 35The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Take care of him,’ he told the innkeeper, ‘and when I come back this way, I will pay you whatever else you spend on him.’”
36And Jesus concluded, “In your opinion, which one of these three acted like a neighbour toward the man attacked by the robbers?”
37The teacher of the Law answered, “The one who was kind to him.” Jesus replied, “You go, then, and do the same.” (Luke 10:26-37 Good News Translation GNT).

A prayer for empathy
God, our world is bent and broken. But this didn’t stop you from showing your great love for us by sending your son to empathise with us in our weakness. Help me to do likewise. Help me to view everyone I interact with the way you see them. Allow me to be a part of your solution to the brokenness in this world. Show me how to partner with you in creating sustainable change. I recognise that in order to do that, I need to be willing to share in the pain of others. Give me the courage to do that, and then, help me to take action. Let empathy and restoration start with me. Amen. (source: https://www.youversion.com/)

Surely this is the LORD’s anointed!

6 Samuel took one look at Eliab and thought, “Surely this is the Lord’s anointed!” 7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:6-7 NLT).
But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. (Jeremiah 17:10 NLT).
For from the inside, from your heart, come the evil ideas which lead you to do immoral things. (Mark 7:21 GNT).
God removed Saul and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said, ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. He will do everything I want him to do. (Acts 13:22 NLT).
If the Lord was to check your heart right now- what would He see?
Like David, are you a person after His own heart, a kindred spirit - a heart that is in alignment with God?
When God looks at your heart- would He reject you like Eliab or accept you like David?
Shalom.

Family relationships

18 Let every wife be supportive and tenderly devoted to her husband, for this is a beautiful illustration of our devotion to Christ. 19 Let every husband be filled with cherishing love for his wife and never be insensitive toward her. 20 Let the children respect and pay attention to their parents in everything for this pleases our Lord Jesus. 21 And fathers, don’t have unrealistic expectations for your children or else they may become discouraged. (Colossians 3:18-21 The Passion Translation).
Shalom.

Action!

14My dear brothers and sisters, what good is it if someone claims to have faith but demonstrates no good works to prove it? How could this kind of faith save anyone? 15For example, if a brother or sister in the faith is poorly clothed and hungry 16and you leave them saying, “Good-bye. I hope you stay warm and have plenty to eat,” but you don’t provide them with a coat or even a cup of soup, what good is your faith? 17So then faith that doesn’t involve action is phony. (James 2:14-17 The Passion Translation).
Faith without works is dead. (James 2:26).
You’ve prayed about it - now is the time to take action and commence with earnest what you feel led to do. Once you start it, God will complete it.
Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. (Ephesians 6:10 NLT).
