If you are reading and thinking- none of these apply to me then you could be guilty of the very first one - haughty eyes. What does a haughty eye mean?
Unfriendly and seeming to consider yourself
better than other people (Cambridge dictionary).
Blatantly and disdainfully proud: having
or showing an attitude of superiority and contempt for people or things
perceived to be inferior (Merriam-Webster dictionary).
A proud look [the spirit that makes one
overestimate himself and underestimate others] (Amplified Classic
bible). Putting others down while
considering yourself superior (The Passion Translation).
Enough said.
Let’s talk about a lying tongue or spreading lies
and rumours. (The Passion Translation) - do you tell the odd lie once in a
while? My brother, my sister you have to stop it. It is detestable to God. Fake
news, fake conspiracies and falsehoods- It has to stop.
2021 will be the year of speaking the truth. Anything that is false shouldn’t leave your mouth. You might be thinking- But I always tell the truth. When the King James Bible was published in 1611, it was a period when the main form of communication was your mouth. Fast forward to January 2021, we have another form of communication- the mobile phone. Your mobile phone is a communication tool that can be used to spread lies, spread falsehoods and propagate fake news and rumours.
Do you use your mobile phone to post ‘spread’ lies and rumours? When you send false reports, conspiracy theories, fake news it’s the same as communicating with your mouth. If it’s a lie, rumour- it is detestable to God.
Children
of God do not tell lies. And for those that tell lies, Jesus stated: For you
are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things
he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth,
because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his
character; for he is a liar and the father of lies. (Matthew 5:44 NLT). Yes, the word of God is the truth.
As from today, always strive to speak the truth
and say nothing but the truth so help you God.

What’s
your vision? Where there is no vision, the people perish.
(Proverbs 29:18 KJV).
What gift has God given you? What are you
passionate about? What do you have that you are depriving the world of? The
world is waiting for you to bless them with your gifts, talents or calling.
Most importantly, have you written down your goals, objectives and plans to
activate these gifts?
The bible states: Have you written them down? And then God answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time. (Habakkuk 2:2-3 MSG).
Don’t spend your time in 2021 posting rubbish on WhatsApp until you’ve written down your goals for 2021 and beyond!

of the United States of America. When they write the history of the world, when
they write the history of America- they will mention President Donald Trump.
The question for you my brother or sister- when they write the history of your country- what will they say about you? Yes- what will they say about you?
If
it’s nothing- then begin to change your story. Start to plan for the next five
years. Make a difference to your generation. Think Big! What do you have? Your
country is waiting.
The bible is clear: If you are uniquely gifted in your work, you will rise and be promoted. You won’t be held back— you’ll stand before kings! (Proverbs 22:29 TPT). The onus is on you to discover your gifts and talents. What things can you do easily? Build on your strengths not your weaknesses- what do you love doing?
Ask yourself the following questions:

In 2019, Covid 19 struck Wuhan in China and the world had no virus, no antidote. But today, we thank God for Ugur Sahin and Ozlem Tureci. Their company- BioNTech in collaboration with Pfizer developed a vaccine that is 90% effective against Covid-19. They sold their previous company in 2016 for $1.4 billion and could have quietly retired but no - they continued working tirelessly to make the world a safer place. They are being fruitful! And for their labour of love, the value of BioNTech has soared to $20 billion, making them Germany’s richest couple. Not bad for Turkish immigrants.
What problem can you solve to make the world a better place? Despite the unprecedented circumstances, 2021 going forward is the year of thinking BIG. You are more than a conqueror!
What are your plans for 2021 - 2026?
Write them down, focus and run the race with distinction and the grace of God. For with God, nothing shall be impossible.
